Soccer Coach
I learned how to play soccer as a 3rd grader in Ladue, Missouri, just outside St. Louis. Even at a young age, I understood how much better this game was for me than football or baseball. Football was start and stop, start and stop, with grown ups telling you exactly what to do every few minutes. Baseball was standing around mostly, waiting for the action, having to go several innings between at-bats, and often an entire game without fielding a ball. What a beautiful game soccer is by comparison!

Testimonials:
Peter Hoppock was the perfect soccer coach for my two daughters (ages 11 and 10). A very clear message to parents and players was established from the start. The priority was the development of self-confidence and individual growth as players.
Coach Hoppock was truly unique (and I loved it!) He was very appreciative of every young player’s effort to test their own dribbling skills, and he encouraged them to challenge themselves with athletic opportunities in games – regardless of the outcome. Both my daughters currently enjoy soccer more than before, and in my opinion, both learned more in one season under Coach Hoppock than previous years combined.

I have been around youth soccer for over 15 years. Most coaches do a good job teaching skills appropriate for their current age. Peter is one of the few who really looks ahead to the high school level. He not only teaches individual skills, but focuses on the team dynamic. More, importantly he begins the process of developing a mind for soccer so that they are ready to play at the high school level, and beyond.

I've coached at every level except the professional leagues. AYSO, Select Club ages U10 - U17, High School, and College. Though a winger as a player throughout my youth and into college, I used my gymnastics background to begin training goalkeepers nearly twenty years ago, and do private training for keepers.
Here is a video of one of my goalkeeper training sessions for the Girl's Varsity at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, IL.
